Matthias Brickell Murfree IV is a descendant of many of middle Tennessee’s oldest families. He is the great, great, great, great grandson of Colonel Hardy Murfree, a revolutionary war hero for whom Murfreesboro is named after and Colonel Charles Ready, for which Readyville, Tennessee is named after.
